GAPNA Dementia Care Specialist Training

Online Training

In partnership with the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association (GAPNA), the UCLA ADC Program has created a 22-module curriculum and multi-session Clinical Skill Training components to provide a basic knowledge base for Advanced Care Providers (APPs) who are looking to advance their expertise in caring for patients with dementia. 

15 CEU hours for completion of the online modules and videos. Once completed, an APP will receive a document of completion from GAPNA.

In-Person Training

During the GAPNA Annual Conference, a Dementia Care Specialist (DCS) Skills Training pre-conference will be available for Nurse Practitioners to attend in person.

Upcoming Annual Conferences:

Any organization that adopts the ADC Program must have their APP complete the online training, in addition to supplemental virtual training with the ADC Project Management team.
